I have used almost every opportunity in this Chamber to emphasise the value to the state of cost-rental affordable housing and 100% public housing on public land,
The LDA recently informed the Housing Committee that they will now build 100% Public housing on public land and 75% of their units will be cost rental, which amounts to approximately 30,000 units over the next 20 years. I personally welcome these Green Party policies.
However recent news print suggests delays; could you give us assurance today that the LDA are on track to deliver 30,000 cost rental units as prescribed in their 20 year programme.
