I have engaged with school management of Firhouse Educate Together, who have been campaigning to locate within their community on the Stocking Lane site, which was previously considered by the Department of Education, but disregarded due to costs. Currently, they are being asked to commute across South Dublin, which incurs various problems.
Many of these children have special needs and using a bus to commute will not be compatible for them. I know this is an ongoing issue and I asked Minister Foley to take action and to intervene here for the well-being of the families.
